Metrorail Hours of Operation
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, Metrorail trains will depart from the end of each rail line starting at 7 a.m. Customers waiting for trains in the downtown area will see the first train service about 20 minutes later, and all Metrorail stations will open approximately 10 minutes before a scheduled train's first arrival.
Note: Earlier opening times and later closing times go into effect at times of special events. When traveling late at night, be sure to check the scheduled departure time for the last train. At many stations, the last train departs before system closing time so it is important that you allow enough time to enter the system and board the train. Last train departure times are posted at each station kiosk. |
