Formed in 1996 by Brad Barkett and Mike Barkett, Boole is an electronic fixture of the Baltimore-Washington area. Their music has been described as psypop, melodic EBM, or futurepop, but they are also known for unexpected cover tunes and throwing down funky sax solos.
Boole last played BOUND a decade ago on 10.26.01 for Halloween, a memorable and fun show featuring DJ Mindcage and Philadelphia goth legend David E. Williams. Historically, Boole has played about one or two shows per year, most recently performing in the Electronic Saviors Cancer Benefit Concert at Jaxx, in February of 2010.
Boole has played a number of local and regional shows, and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Covenant, And One, Das Ich, Kompressor, Ego Likeness, Stromkern, Iris, Godhead, Voltaire, Caustic, The Gothsicles, Bella Morte, and others. They have played the Reverence Festival in Wisconsin, alt.gothic Convergence in Las Vegas, and Dracula's Ball in Philadelphia.
